Review of Mel Gibson’s “The Edge of Darkness”

The Edge of Darkness and the Ugly American

Mel Gibson has produced an exciting, constantly moving thriller that brings a warning to the American people. Mel uses the movie as a means of  exposing corporate America’s murderous assault upon the American people… and countries around  the world. Given the premise, one can see why people around  the world hate America. However, if people around the world will see the  movie, they will understand  that the American public, for the most part, is as ignorant about the criminal power elite in our government and corporate multinational presence, as anyone in other countries.

In other  words, Americans are hated around the world for something done in their name, without their knowledge. We are the Ignorant, Ugly American, not just the latter.  But, I digress from the theme of  Mel’s The Edge of Darkness

The Edge of Darkness and Dirty Bombs

In a age where the Internet is replete with speculation of all sorts about Martial law, Islamic terrorist activity  and corporate corruption, the Gibson film makes a singular point:  innocent Americans who know what’s right in life are suddenly surprised by what’s wrong in the upper echelons of American society. In The Edge of Darkness, such individuals are caught in a web of corruption through no fault of their own, and must make decisions about subjects they had no idea even existed  before  their sudden involvement goes bad on them. Hence, the subject plot of the movie.

But, it was also necessary to see how Gibson made credible a theme many scholars have been pointing to for  years:

a)  Corporate America is producing “dirty bombs” (nuclear bombs that destroy people without as much destruction of property) at the behest of the United States Federal Government. This privatization of the nuking industry allows government officials an “out” if something goes bad, but allows their Machiavellian agendas to move forward if they do carry things out “as planned.”
b)  Corporate America then sells these dirty bombs to foreign terrorist governments (like Omar Qaddafi of Libya, North Korea, Red China, some African nations – though none were named in the movie). These foreigners then use them against America and Western nations primarily, without anyone being able to trace the fact back to the United States government which authorizes it all.

The Edge of Darkness and America

Mel Gibson did not mention other  countries by name nor Islamic terrorists for  good  reason. Why? I believe he was getting Americans used  to  the fact that  their government employs others to  use dirty  bombs against civilian populations. A natural question occurs: would  our  government use such a bomb to give itself the excuse  for Martial  law,  especially since  the current Party ruling America is  exasperated with… well… Americans who oppose the agenda of the While House? We’ve already had at least one Republican publicly demanding  that the  White House NOT make its  own “enemy list” of  AMERICANS!

The Edge of Darkness and Big Government

The movie makes the point that there are “Conspirators” in corporate America and government who are playing for globalist stakes and they have no loyalty to their fellow Americans. They are not “rightists” nor “leftist” radicals, per se. They are privatized henchmen doing the work of a Machiavellian government who continues to exist and justify ever-increasing controls for their own sake. UNLESS THERE IS  CRISIS, BIG GOVERNMENT CANNOT JUSTIFY ITS OWN CONTINUED EXISTENCE.  If there is  no crisis, then Big Brother must manufacture one… quite literally, in the case of this movie’s scenario.

I believe Gibson is attempting to warn the American people that “dirty bombs” are a real threat and that the United States government will have no problem doing to us what it authorizes done to other countries. After all, Martial law needs a BIG excuse to make  it a necessity.
Enjoy the movie… believe it not, I haven’t ruined the plot for you.

  3. Mel Gibson has put out really great movies and like you said points out conspirators and henchmen doing the work of Machiavellian politics. Really satanic cunning throughout all time. BRAVE HEART – THE PATRIOT – THE PASSION. I loved them all. Quite accurate and cruel but sadly true.

The people in America have been hit on all sides by the truth during recent times. Perhaps its to see who seeks God in the coming days.
