Armageddon: Christianity provokes a worldwide change in “warfare”
February 23, 2010 – 6:48 PM
A new look at an old subject: “Armageddon” (Part I)
The Bible anticipated a change in “warfare” not readily understood even by the finest scholars. The reason for such a lack of understanding is due to our assumptions. We are so used to hearing that the battle of Armageddon will be a literal battle in the Middle East, it just didn’t occur to previous generations of Bible scholars and pastors that war would change drastically, necessitated by changes in the world itself.
No one scholar could anticipate how the world would change so radically. After all, everyone can be just an email or phone call away, for example. Note the following changes that will accompany the rise of God’s Kingdom, as it will be exalted in prestige and presence worldwide
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. – Isaiah 2: 2
Two movements – unrelated directly to one another – would lead to the modern worldwide culture carrier war… the first of its kind in history. Those two movements are… 1) The changes in war itself, where the much more powerful culture carrier war (worldwide) is flanking the concept of military warfare . 2) The Second major movement – epitomized in the humanism and philosophies of three men – was the rise of what came to be called "humanism" … and all its surrogates in Socialism, Darwinism, Hegelianism, Marxism, Keynesianism, Higher Criticism, Psychology, Sociology, etc.
We will consider "Warfare" first… and its current propensities toward its own elimination.
1. Warfare: Nations will move from weapons to tools. The Law and the Gospel will go out from Jerusalem. Then God will bring terrible judgments throughout the world. The result? The world will reject war as a means of economic gain or even as a means of defending itself. Why? Three reasons come to mind:
1) Like Vietnam, Iraq, and other wars, confusion reigns as to the meaning, purpose, and goals of these wars. Peoples all over the world are war-weary … and they are beginning to understand through the Internet HOW and WHY these wars are financed and made profitable to an elite.
2) Wars are becoming too expensive to fight. Afghan fighters, fighting with little more than basic weapons and explosives, defeated Russia in the 1980s… and are causing immense cost to the burdened American taxpayer. Indeed, in Vietnam, the Viet Cong "policy" was to inflict our troops with "wounded" in stead of killing them, often times. Why? Because the wounded drew in expensive evacuation helicopters, and many other American personnel within gunsight of the Cong. Furthermore, each wounded soldier needed the attention of a whole line of medical staff extending from the fields of Vietnam to the hospitals in Korea, Japan, Hawaii, and mainland USA. The expense drove us from the field, though we had the far superior soldiers (but treasonous diplomats).
3) The Gospel teaches the moral cost and Judgments of God, as well as the necessity of teaching nations the necessity of getting gain with tools (capital goods), as opposed to the plunder of warfare.
…They shall beat their swords into plowshares [tools, capital goods used for production of wealth], and their spears into pruning hooks: [tools, capital goods that generate wealth] nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. – Isaiah 2: 4
2. Humanists See Christianity Prevails through Culture Carriers…
Those who led the antichristian leadership in Europe began to realize they needed to capture the culture carriers to thwart Christian advances in society. War and persecution hadn’t worked. That process began with…
1) the modern philosophers , especially the thinking of Voltaire, D’Lambert, and Frederick II… and …
2) then moved to the French Revolution.
3) Of course, philosophers such as Hegel, Kant, Hume, and Marx all had their turn in changing the world.
But, let’s consider just three men… men in their intense, internal hatred against Christ and His people.
3. Brief Backdrop… From Failed Persecution to Successful Worldview Attack…
The wars of religion in Europe, foretold by the book of Revelation, mostly initiated by kings and prelates with the intent to destroy the Christianity of the Protestant Reformation, failed to accomplish that “mission”. Instead, kings and papacy, Holy Roman Empire and despots, fell from power, ultimately consumed by their own fire (See Ezek. 28:18 for an example of what God provokes in the Devil, in the latter days).
The Jacobins of the French Revolution PRECEDED their alleged founder, Adam Weishaupt, by well over a century. The Jacobins grew out of the leagues formed in France by the nobility and priests who persecuted and fomented multiple wars against the Huguenots of France. It is no secret that all those organizations who eventually formed the “Jacobins” of the early 1700’s, like them, utilized Jesuit organizational structure and tactics.
Philosophers such as Voltaire, D’Lambert and Frederick II all saw nothing had stopped the rise of Christianity. But, these master humanists were not the ultimate cause of Christianity’s woes in the 18th and 19th centuries. The real problem was to be found in the increasing apostasy of the churches of Europe. Thus, God’s wrath would raise up cunning, skillful men to chastise them, a principle announced in the Old Testament several times, including the prophet Ezekiel (later illustrated in the New Testament as well):
And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of cruel men, and skillful to destroy. – Ezek. 21: 31
God raises up FOR His Church men with supernatural gifts, skillful in building the “Temple of the Lord”. In like manner, He will raise up men of His wrath, skillful (supernaturally endowed by the Devil – See I Kings 22) in their ability to undermine the civilization Christianity may be holding at any given time. That is the way the Devil is able to achieve a dominion "for a time."
And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them. And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king’s hand…And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. – I Kings 22: 11-12, 20-23
Roman Catholic priest and historian (in the Jesuit mold), Abbe Barruel, definitely associated the resurgence of Jacobinism with the rise of Voltaire and his impact in leading a movement to destroy Christianity. Being that he was familiar with the Jesuit organization and strategies, he was quite able to pick up upon the Jacobin counterfeit of same.
Philosophism is the error of every man who, judging of all things by the standard of his own reason, rejects in religious matters every authority that is not derived from the light of nature, It is the error of every man who denies the possibility of any mystery beyond the limits of his reason, of every one who, discarding revelation in defense of the pretended Rights of reason, Equality, and Liberty, seeks to subvert the whole fabric of the Christian religion.
Such an error may constitute a Sect. The history of ancient Jacobiism demonstrates the Sect existed long since; but it was shrunk back to its dark abodes at the time when Voltaire appeared.
Barruel’s description begins with those who were at the heart of a resurgence of Jacobin activism:

4, Voltaire, D’Alembert, and Frederick II (the Great) (by A. Barruel):
ABOUT the middle of this (18th) century appeared three men who were leagued in the most inveterate hatred against Christianity. These were Voltaire, D’Alembert, and Frederic II, King of Prussia. Voltaire hated (the Christian) Religion because he was jealous of its Author, and of all those whom it had rendered illustrious; D’Alembert because his frigid heart was incapable of affection; and Frederic because he had never seen it but through the medium of its enemies.
To these a fourth must be added, and this was Diderot. Hating religion because he doted on nature, and enthusiastically wedded to the chaos of his own ideas, he chose rather to build a system on chimeras and form mysteries of his own, than submit to the light of the Gospel. Numerous adepts were afterwards drawn into this Conspiracy, and these were generally stupid admirers or secondary agents. Voltaire was the chief, D’Alembert the most subtle agent, Frederick the protector and often the adviser, and Diderot the forlorn hope.
What distinguished these men was the mutual recognition that Christianity could not be destroyed by military and persecutive means. Christianity is a culture carrying religion. As such, it always forces its enemies to fight it on the cultural-economic-political “battlefield”.
The result, as we will see, will be the rise of a global culture-carrier “War” never before seen in the history of the world, for its extent, range and depth. We will see how such a culture-carrying conflict will unite anti-christian elements worldwide against the rise of the Christian faith… in our generation.

Thanks be to OUR GOD, daily ! He has already told us how it would all end, and what our part will be !
As a result, true Christians have that “peace that passes all understanding”, even in the midst of turmoil !
May His Name Ever Be Praised !
Sincerely

I understand Sun Su and Guivara (sp?), etc. thought the war was best fought when the victim did not know there was one being waged.
That Mr. Sedlak would say the new war is not with weapons but with tools is a wonder. There was no lack of weapons during the days of the French Revolution, the 1848 revolutions, or the War Between the States.
I thought we had just experienced a century long war with Christianity beginning with WWI and ending with the Jehad(s).
I’m sure there is a resolution. Looking forward to hearing it.

And it shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. Isaiah 2:2
What an exciting time. We have history to study; we can read a completed Bible; Iran is building atomic weapons; Israel stands ready to defend itself against Islam.
America who has already built her Shining City On A Hill, now has God’s wrath upon her as He has raised up cunning skillful men to chastise her to realize what she has done. Ezek. 21:31
That is the way the Devil is able to achieve a dominion for a time.
The Great Protestant Reformation has been forgotten; history books have been rewritten; men of renown have achieved much.
We have the 3 men mentioned in this article, Frederick II, being King of Prussia, would frequently lead his military forces personally and had 6 horses shot from under him during battle. He was admired as one of the greatest tactical geniuses of all time. he was gifted in music and in the languages.
Correspondence existed between Frederick II and Voltaire for 50 years marked by mutual intellectual fascination. Voltaire worked continuously throughout the years, producing a constant flow of books, plays and other publications. He wrote hundreds of letters to his circle of friends. He was always a voice of reason. And then there are all the others . . .
As I’m writing this I’m watching the HEALTH CARE SUMMIT. February 25, 2010.
I remember a really frightening time when we were trained in school how to protect ourselves from an atomic attack. At the same time my father was in Greenland, building a military base for a protective screening defense shield. This was to prevent Russia from surprising us if they would launch an atomic missile over the top of the earth.
During the cold war, the super powers of the world built up their nuclear stock piles, to prevent any nation from starting an attack.
A book called “Tragedy and Hope” was written in the 1960’s by professor Carroll Quigley. (A very close mentor to Bill Clinton.) He had an idea to prevent nuclear war and that was to tie the world’s economics together. That way no country would wage total war on another without risking the destruction of it’s own economy. Since then there has been no war where there has been a clear winner or loser. We’re in a domino effect that when we’re all tied together, we’re all interdependent, and if one country fails, they all fail.
Today, progressive George Soros’ solution is more intrusive monitoring.

The evolutionary theories which resulted in economic and sociological changes in the given culture, it is easy to see why an armageddon view of the future is assumed.
Social Darwinism influenced Hitler to rule Germay and led to its police-state result. Marxist-Lennon communism which was heavily influenced by athiestic evolution, transformed Russia into a mass genocide wasteland.
Today, the progressive educational movement in our public schools, which is based on the Russian system, is teaching our kids that they are nothing more than evolved animals. So of course they believe their lives are worthless. They then kill each other and commit suicide since life is meaningless. More and more, these kids look like the robots in a rock music video without faces.
Even the “might makes right” phrase influenced some of the leading manufacturers in the early 1900’s. This helped destroy Capitalism. The Republican Party was also motivated by this ideal. Also the progressive ideals are preached by the communists that are running around in the white house today. It’s easy to see where this will lead us, it happened in the before mentioned countries already.
It’s comfort to hear the words of Isaiah along with the theme of the Bible: that God does have an eternal interest in the end results of the world. He decreed all of history and the future, why would he decree defeat?
“Thy kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven.”
